Smith scores last minute winner as Monsters beat Marlies 4-3

CLEVELAND - Nathan Smith scored with 57 seconds left in regulation as the Lake Erie Monsters beat the Toronto Marlies 4-3 Sunday in American Hockey League action.

Jesse Boulerice, Brian Willsie and T.J. Hensick also scored for the Monsters (2-0-0).

Bates Battaglia, Richard Petoit and Daryl Boyce replied for the Marlies (0-1-1).

Tyler Weiman made 40 saves for the Monsters while Justin Pogge stopped 27 shots for the Marlies.
