Smashville Scope: March 25

We are well into our second full week of the pause to the 2019-20 NHL season, and as has become apparent in these unprecedented times, news changes rapidly.
The NHL is part of that cycle, and as they continue to communicate with the Predators, as well as the rest of their member clubs and the NHL Players Association, the League has kept fans updated.
On Monday, the NHL answered a number of frequently asked questions that have come up over the past two weeks, and while the full document may be read by clicking here, here are a couple of the more noteworthy items to take away.

Additionally, Wednesday afternoon
brought about the postponement
of the 2020 NHL Scouting Combine, the 2020 Bridgestone NHL Awards and the 2020 NHL Draft. The location, timing and format of the 2020 NHL Draft (and Draft Lottery) will be announced when details are finalized.
The NHL does hope to award the Stanley Cup and crown a 2020 champion at some point, but time will well on that front.

In last week's Scope, you heard from Roman Josi and Filip Forsberg, as they reached out with a message to Smashville. Since then, Preds forwards Matt Duchene and Kyle Turris have also said hello to the fanbase during the pause.

Fox Sports Tennessee Continuing to Air Top Preds Games:

There's a way to get your hockey fix, and it continues on Thursday night. Fox Sports Tennessee will be re-airing some of the top Predators games from the 2019-20 season, and Nashville's 3-2 shootout win over the St. Louis Blues from Bridgestone Arena back in November will be featured on March 26. That contest will be followed by a 6-4 victory over the New Jersey Devils in P.K. Subban's return to Smashville from last December; that game will be shown on Sunday, March 31.

In addition to still watching the Preds on Fox Sports Tennessee, you can now dial up any one of Nashville's contests from the past six months at any time.
Now through April 30, the NHL and Sportsnet have decided to make full replays of all 2019-20 NHL regular-season games already played available to stream on demand. We may not be able to gather in person, but there are still ways to give back in these times.
Despite the unfortunate cancellation of the Preds & Threads Fashion Show presented by Dillard's, the Mall at Green Hills and King Jewelers, which was scheduled to take place on St. Patrick's Day, the Nashville Predators will continue to raise funds for the tornado relief efforts.
One of the many elements of the Fashion Show was to be the extensive silent auction, which will directly benefit tornado relief efforts. Through March 29 at 9 p.m. CT, you can text 'FASHION' to 76278.
In the coming days, during Fox Sports Tennessee re-aired games played on the Predators' originally scheduled game dates, the Nashville Predators Foundation empowered by SmileDirectClub will open their silent auction as planned, with all proceeds benefiting the Predators Foundation and Middle Tennessee relief efforts.
