Skinner records hat trick as Kitchener tames the Greyhounds 4-1 @NHL

KITCHENER, Ont. - Jeff Skinner continued his strong play of late by scoring his first Ontario Hockey League hat trick as the Kitchener Rangers handed the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds a 4-1 loss on Sunday night.

Skinner has six goals and two assists in his last three games. On Sunday, the rookie from Markham, Ont., opened the scoring on a power play midway through the first period.

Julian Cimadamore also scored in the first before Skinner added a pair in the second period for Kitchener (22-27-1-2).

Jacob Muzzin ended Parker Van Buskirk's shutout bid with a power-play goal early in the third for the Greyhounds (16-34-2-2).

Van Buskirk made 31 saves, while Sault Ste. Marie netminder Bryce O'Hagan stopped 29 shots.
