KENNEWICK, Wash. - Six different players scored and rookie Drew Owsley improved to 3-0 as the Tri-City Americans beat the Red Deer Rebels 6-3 on Sunday night.
Brett Plouffe, Jason Reese, Adam Hughesman, Jarrett Toll, Kruise Reddick and Brendan Shinnimin all scored for the U.S. Division-leading Americans (14-5-0-2), who beat Red Deer (7-12-0-5) for the third-straight time. Mitch Fadden added three assists, while Taylor Procyshen had two.
Owsley, giving starter Chet Pickard a rare night off, finished with 19 saves. For Pickard, who had started 18 straight games, it was the first time in his four years with the Americans he had been a healthy scratch.
Landon Ferraro, Brett Ferguson and Adam Kambeitz all scored for the Rebels, who got 31 saves from Morgan Clark.
