The Montreal Canadiens had a special guest in the house to announce their starting lineup on Saturday.
The young man, Simon Gauvin, a member of Leucan, a Montreal-based organization that helps and supports cancer-stricken children and their families, did an admirable job reading off coach Michel Therrien's lineup before the Canadiens' game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Gauvin was given the honor of reading the lineup as part of Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night at Bell Centre. He did so to a hefty dose of applause from the players while calling out starters Max Pacioretty, Tomas Plekanec, Brendon Gallagher, Alexei Emelin and Shea Weber. Then he responded to a prompting of "Who's in net?" with an emphatic "Carey Price!"
On his way out of the Canadiens dressing room, Gauvin got a big high-five from center David Desharnais.
