Silvertips win 12th straight, 3-2 over Chiefs

EVERETT, Wash. - Kellan Tochkin scored twice as the Everett Silvertips stretched their winning streak to 12 games, defeating the Spokane Chiefs 3-2 Sunday night in Western Hockey League action.

Shane Harper also scored for the Silvertips (31-16-3), who have yet to lose in 2010. Harper has scored in eight games during the winning streak.

Kent Simpson had a strong game in goal for Everett, making 34 saves.

Mitch Holmberg and Levko Koper scored for Spokane (27-17-4). Chiefs goalie James Reid allowed three goals on 12 shots before being pulled late in the first period. Michael Tadjdeh stopped all 18 shots he faced in relief.
