Sidney Crosby top-selling jersey at

Penguins captain was No. 1 during regular season at League's online store

NEW YORK - Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby had the top-selling jersey for the 2016-17 regular season on, the official online store of the NHL®, the NHL announced today. Toronto Maple Leafs rookie Auston Matthews makes his NHL debut onto the list in the fourth spot while Chicago Blackhawks forwards Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, capture the second and third spots, respectively. New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist holds the number five spot.

Sales of NHL merchandise on during the 2016-17 regular season were up 14% year-over-year, while jersey sales rose 11% during the same period.
