TAMPA -- Count Sidney Crosby among the masses that have gotten a lot of amusement out of the now viral postgame interview between NBCSN's Pierre McGuire and Pittsburgh Penguins forward Phil Kessel following Pittsburgh's 4-2 win in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final at Amalie Arena on Wednesday.

At the end of the interview, McGuire asked Kessel, "How's your breath?" He was asking Kessel if he caught his breath yet because the pace at which the Penguins played in Game 3 against the Tampa Bay Lightning was so fast.

Kessel misunderstood, thought McGuire was asking him if his breath smelled, and responded, "It's not good, eh?"

Crosby said Thursday he has seen a clip of the interview and has tried to put himself in Kessel's shoes to figure out how he would answer McGuire.

"First of all, it was funny," Crosby said. "I think anyone being asked that question, we all probably thought, how would we answer that? It's a tough one to answer, and he handled it great. It was pretty funny."

Crosby also said it was perfect that it was Kessel who had to answer the question, "because he'd be the one to handle it as good as that. We had a good laugh over it."

Crosby, by the way, was also asked if Kessel has bad breath.

"I don't think," he said, laughing.
