Sidney Crosby, met another Sid the Kid.

The Pittsburgh Penguins captain made his annual pilgrimage delivering tickets to subscribers Monday, when he met a young girl with whom he shares a name and nickname.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the younger Sidney was Sidney Villiotti of Scott, Pennsylvania, who Crosby visited Monday. Crosby played street hockey with Villiotti and her cousins and even wrote them a letter excusing them from missing school.

Tweet from @penguins: How could they not excuse this?

Crosby has made a habit of delivering tickets to Penguins subscribers, and he enjoys the experience.

"Just to see everyone face to face -- you see the masses, but you don't get the chance to meet them," Crosby told the Tribune-Review. "To do that, and hear their stories and how long they've had tickets for … that's fun. That's what hockey does. It's fun to be able to hear all those things."

Crosby wasn't the only member of the Penguins to deliver tickets, as Jake Guentzel, Olli Maatta, Kris Letang and Matt Murray were also among the players to drop in on unsuspecting fans.

Tweet from @penguins: Our little friend may not have the hang of hockey quite yet... You can't pick up the ball!Regardless, he DEFINITELY had good time with @jakenbake20 on season ticket delivery day.
