The show, which will premiere on SHOWTIME on Friday, May 20, is the first to televise a championship of a major North American sport as it happens. The weekly program will follow the playoffs from the conference finals through the Stanley Cup Final, giving viewers a look at what it's like for teams, coaches and players vying for the Stanley Cup.
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning will play in the Eastern Conference Final, which starts at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh on Friday (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports). The St. Louis Blues will play the San Jose Sharks or Nashville Predators in the Western Conference Final. That series will begin at Scottrade Center in St. Louis on Sunday (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports).
