One of television's most influential women may have a case of hockey fever.

Shonda Rhimes, who created ABC dramas such as "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal," tweeted Friday she'd consider hockey fandom at the behest of her comedian friend, Retta.

Retta posted a story Thursday called "How I Became a Hockey Fan" on Lena Dunham's Lenny Letters website. In the story, Retta cited how the Los Angeles Kings social-media account helped get the ball rolling on her hockey fandom.

After Rhimes' tweet, the Kings put the recruiting pitch on her too.

Tweet from @LAKings: @unfoRETTAble @shondarhimes @lennyletter Shonda we'd love to have you!

There's been no word yet whether Rhimes will take the Kings up on their offer.
