Shinkaruk scores twice to lead the Tigers over the Royals 4-2 @NHL

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Hunter Shinkaruk scored twice as the Medicine Hat Tigers defeated the Victoria Royals 4-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Curtis Valk had a goal and an assist for the Tigers (20-12-4) while Scott McKay added the other.

Jesse Pauls and Hayden Rintoul each scored for the Royals (13-20-4).

Tyler Bunz made 16 saves for the win as Jared Rathjen stopped25 shots in defeat.

Medicine Hat went 1-for-5 on the power play while Victoria scored once on six chances with the man advantage.
