Shattock scores twice, including winner, as Blazers edge Winter Hawks 5-4

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Right-winger Tyler Shattock scored two goals, including the eventual winner 15:43 into the second period on a power play, to lead the Kamloops Blazers to a 5-4 victory over the Portland Winter Hawks in WHL play Friday night.

Seth Compton, Shayne Wiebe and Brendan Ranford also scored for Kamloops (32-30-2-4). Chris Francis, Troy Rutkowski, Travis Ehrhardt and Luke Walker replied for Portland (17-45-2-2).

Blazers goaltender Justin Leclerc stopped 27 shots, while the Kurtis Mucha and Keith Hamilton combined to turn aside 28 in net for the Winter Hawks.
