Sharp scores tiebreaking goal, Faksa gets 1st of career as Stars beat Hurricanes 4-1 @NHL

RALEIGH, N.C. - Patrick Sharp scored the go-ahead goal and Radek Faksa added his first of his career to lead the Dallas Stars to a 4-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday night.

Ales Hemsky and Jason Demers also scored and Colton Sceviour had two assists for the Stars. Kari Lehtonen finished with 30 saves.

Jordan Staal scored for Carolina and Eddie Lack stopped 24 shots. Staal's goal marked the sixth time he had scored on an assist from brother Eric. Jordan has assisted Eric nine times.

The Western Conference-leading Stars have won six of their last seven games and are 6-2 on the road. Dallas has also won eight of the last 11 against Carolina and four of the last five meetings in Raleigh.
