The Sharks hope to replicate the effort they had in their 5-1 win in Game 5 on Saturday and end the series in their first opportunity.
"[The Predators] have been resilient at times throughout the [Stanley Cup] Playoffs, and we're going to have to be good," Sharks captain Joe Pavelski said. "It's a game where you have to put a team away, and you've really got to beat them. So we need to come out and establish that mindset."
The Predators were in the same situation against the Anaheim Ducks in the Western Conference First Round, trailing 3-2 in that series and then winning Games 6 and 7.
"We shouldn't rest on that," Predators coach Peter Laviolette said. "We shouldn't just assume that it's going to happen. There's a lot that goes into those situations and I do think that you can take some confidence from that, knowing that you've been here before and you've done it before. But with that we've got to make sure that the mindset's right.
"We've got to change our game and our attitude from Game 5 to Game 6 to be in a better place. Knowing our guys, I'm sure they'll do that tonight. But we've got a lot of work to do to dig out of a hole that we're in and the situation that we're in."
