Kevin Labanc will be out three months for the San Jose Sharks because of a dislocated shoulder.

The forward, who will have surgery next week, was injured in the first period of a 2-1 win against the Dallas Stars on Saturday.
"It looks like it's something that's not going to take a while to rehab, and it should be surgically fixed," Sharks coach Bob Boughner said Thursday. "I think he's going to [Los Angeles] on Monday, having surgery Tuesday. … I would think [his rehab will last] probably three months."
Labanc, who has scored six points (three goals, three assists) in 21 games, was replaced by forward Lane Pederson in a 3-1 loss against the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday. Pederson had three shots on goal and was minus-1 in 9:35 of ice time.
"He's disappointed," Sharks captain Logan Couture said of Labanc. "It's tough. There's not much you can say. Most guys in the room have gone through injuries. For him, I thought he was finding his game. He was playing really well the last couple of games that he played. You can tell he had a little extra in his skating stride and more energy he was bringing to the rink each day. Just unfortunate timing.
"I hope everything and the surgery goes well and he can get back and join us at the end of the year and hopefully for a playoff push."
Selected by San Jose in the sixth round (No. 171) of the 2014 NHL Draft, Labanc has scored 183 points (65 goals, 118 assists) in 360 regular-season games with the Sharks and 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 30 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
"Kevin helped us on our second-unit power play, he also did add some skill in that bottom six," Boughner said. " … Unfortunately he got hit the wrong way awkward into the glass or boards. I think the smart thing is if he fixes it now, we can have him for the end of the season."
The Sharks host the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday (10:30 p.m. ET; NBCSCA, SNP, ESPN+, NHL LIVE).
