Sharks forward Logan Couture has surgery @NHLdotcom

San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture had surgery Wednesday for an upper-body injury and the team said he will begin rehabilitation immediately.

"Logan underwent successful surgery today by team orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Arthur Ting, and is expected to make a full recovery," general manager Doug Wilson said in a statement. "We look forward to getting him back in our lineup. No specific return date is set at this time."

Multiple media reports said the surgery was to fix a damaged hand, and Couture is expected to miss three-to-four weeks.

Couture, 24, has 14 goals and 21 assists in 43 games this season. He averages 19:28 of ice time.
