San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture will not skate before a road trip ends Nov. 22, coach Peter DeBoer told CSN Bay Area on Wednesday.
Couture fractured his right fibula at the ankle in practice on Oct. 15, had surgery on Oct. 17, and the prognosis was that he would be sidelined 4-6 weeks. Nov. 26 would be six weeks from the injury.
DeBoer said Couture would accompany the Sharks on their six-game trip but would not practice.
"I don't know the time when I'm going to be back playing, skating, or anything like that," Couture told CSNCalifornia.com on Nov. 3.
CSN said the 26-year-old was seen this week without a walking boot.
Couture had one assist in the three games he played this season, all Sharks wins; they are 4-8-0 without him. San Jose starts the road trip Friday at the Detroit Red Wings.
