Sharks deal 2 defenseman for prospects @NHLdotcom

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -The San Jose Sharks have traded defensemen Christian Ehrhoff and Brad Lukowich to the Vancouver Canucks for two prospects.

The Sharks acquired 20-year-old center Patrick White and 22-year-old defenseman Daniel Rahimi in the deal on Friday. General manager Doug Wilson says the swap creates payroll flexibility and adds two players who could help the organization down the line.

Ehrhoff posted 25 goals and 107 assists in 341 career games with the Sharks. Lukowich was acquired last summer in the trade that also brought Dan Boyle from the Tampa Bay Lightning. He had eight assists in 58 games with San Jose.
