The San Jose Sharks are not strangers to the 1975 Steven Spielberg blockbuster Jaws.
The infamous soundtrack is played ahead of every power play at home. Martin Jones featured the character Quint on his goalie mask
during the 2017-18 season
.
But Sharks prospect Antoine Bibeau just took the Jaws connection to the next level.

, Bibeau's new mask dedicates plenty of real estate to the classic movie.

On one side, there's the scene where Bruce (as the shark is known to the most dedicated Jaws fans) appears behind the character of Chief Brody.
Just above it are the characters Quint and Hooper with another illustration of Bruce.

And on the other side, which at first glance seems dedicated to Sharks logos and wordmarks, isn't bereft of Jaws imagery. In the "SJ" logo, you can see the iconic image of the shark as depicted on the Jaws poster.
In addition to the plethora of sharks, Bibeau's nickname "Bibs" is painted across the chin. And on the back is the flag of Quebec, a nod to Bibeau's home province.
With the San Jose Barracuda last season, Bibeau compiled a 23-14-2 record with a 2.37 GAA and a .919 SV% as he helped the team reach the playoffs in his first season as the starting goalie.
Which means only one thing: other teams are going to need a bigger net.
