Shalla scores a hat trick to lead the Spirit over the Greyhounds 6-4 @NHL

SAGINAW, Mich. - Josh Shalla scored three times and Garret Ross added two goals and two assists to help lead the Saginaw Spirit to a 6-4 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

Terry Trafford rounded out the scoring for Saginaw (11-16-2).

Michael Schumacher scored twice, Ryan Sproul had a goal and an assist and David Quesnele added a single goal for Sault Ste. Marie (14-12-3).

Tadeas Galansky started in goal for the Spirit and played two periods, stopping 18 of 22 shots, before Jake Paterson came on in relief and turned aside all six shots he faced in the third period.

Matt Murray made 23 saves for the loss.

Saginaw went 2-for-4 on the power play while the Greyhounds failed to score on either of their opportunities with the man advantage.
