CALGARY - Leading 2010 NHL draft prospects Brett Connolly, Erik Gudbranson and Calvin Pickard headline the world under-18 hockey championship roster unveiled by Canada on Sunday.
Connolly, a forward for Prince George of the Western Hockey League, was put fourth among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting in its mid-season draft rankings.
Gudbranson, a defenceman for Kingston in the Ontario Hockey League, was sixth overall, while Pickard, a goaltender for Seattle of the WHL, was rated the top North American netminder.
The full roster of 22 players - 13 from the OHL, seven from the WHL and two from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League - will be coached by Guy Carbonneau.
The world championship is set for April 13-23 in Minsk and Bobruisk, Belarus.
