Sergey Kuptsov's scores twice as Majors down Greyhounds 6-1 @NHLdotcom

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Sergey Kuptsov scored twice and added an assist Friday to lead the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors to a 6-1 victory over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League.

Michael Schumacher gave Sault Ste. Marie (4-2-0) a 1-0 lead in the first period but Majors rookie Scott Teskey scored on the power play to tie it early in the second.

Derek Schoenmakers gave the Majors (7-0-0) the lead 1:04 later. Junior Harris added a goal and an assist while Doug Harvey also scored against Matt Murray, who stopped 28 shots for the Greyhounds.

J.P. Anderson turned aside 36 shots for the Majors, who scored twice on nine power-play opportunities while the Greyhounds went 0-for-10 with the man advantage. The teams combined for 68 minutes in penalties (32 for Sault Ste. Marie and 36 for Mississauga).
