Sens captain Daniel Alfredsson to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery
NHL.com @NHLOTTAWA - Ottawa Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson will undergo arthroscopic surgery Friday on his right knee.
The NHL team says the procedure is designed to remove a bone chip that was dislodged during a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins last Sunday. A team spokesman says Alfredsson is expected to be out of action for 10-14 days.
Alfredsson has recorded two assists in two games this season.
The 35-year-old right-winger had 89 points (40-49) in 70 games last season.
