Ottawa Senators general manager Bryan Murray announced today that the club has signed defenseman Thomas Chabot to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Chabot, 18, was the Senators first, first-round pick (18th overall) at last June's NHL Draft in Sunrise, Fla. He established new major junior career-highs with 41 points (12 goals, 29 assists) and 62 penalty minutes while appearing in all but four of his team's 70 regular-season games in his second full campaign with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Saint John Sea Dogs in 2014-15.
