Senators send goaltender Emery to minors for two-game conditioning stint @NHLdotcom

OTTAWA - Ottawa Senators goaltender Ray Emery was assigned to the team's American Hockey League affiliate Thursday for a two-game conditioning stint.

Emery has not played in a regular season game and has seen limited practice time due to rehab from surgery to his left wrist.

The 25-year-old recorded a victory in his lone pre-season appearance against Philadelphia on Sept. 25.

Emery will start for the Binghamton Senators on Friday against the Syracuse Crunch. He is also slated to start on Saturday against the Hershey Bears.

Emery posted a 33-16-6 record last season with a 2.47 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.

He went 13-7 in the playoffs and helped the Senators advance to the Stanley Cup final, where they lost to the Anaheim Ducks.
