NEW YORK - Ottawa Senators forward Alexandre Burrows has been suspended for 10 games, without pay, for serving as the aggressor in an altercation and kneeing New Jersey Devils forward Taylor Hall during NHL Game No. 816 in Ottawa on Tuesday, Feb. 6, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 10:02 of the second period. Burrows was assessed two minor penalties, one for cross-checking and one for roughing.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Burrows will forfeit $134,408.60. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
