Senators' Alex Chiasson awarded one-year contract by arbitrator @NHLdotcom

Alex Chiasson of the Ottawa Senators has been awarded a US$1.2 million, one-year deal in arbitration on Sunday.

The restricted free-agent forward and the Senators went to arbitration with Chiasson asking for over $2 million and the team asking for $1 million.

Chiasson was part of the trade that sent Jason Spezza to the Dallas Stars last summer.

The 24-year-old had 11 goals and 15 assists in 76 games this past season.

Mike Hoffman is Ottawa's last major RFA left to sign.

Hoffman's arbitration hearing is set for Thursday.
