ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -Anaheim Ducks forward Teemu Selanne will be sidelined at least four weeks because of a cut in his left quad muscle.
Selanne was injured in the first period of Friday night's 3-2 victory at Edmonton. Team spokesman Alex Gilchrist said late Saturday that an MRI did not reveal damage to any tendons or other connective tissue, and surgery will not be required.
Selanne had to be helped from the ice after being injured. He was playing in his 1,100th NHL game.
