Sekera out as Hurricanes, Devils end home-and-home

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The New Jersey Devils and Carolina Hurricanes will complete a home-and-home series Friday night, after the Hurricanes picked up a 4-3 road win Wednesday.

Cory Schneider will get the call in the New Jersey net, after Martin Brodeur played all three games in the Devils' current losing streak.

The Hurricanes will be without defenseman Andrej Sekera, who is out with an upper-body injury and awaiting an MRI, coach Kirk Muller said. With 13 points, Sekera is second on the team in scoring and first among Carolina defensemen.
