Seguin nets three goals as Whalers rally to win 6-5 over Wolves in shootout @NHLdotcom

SUDBURY, Ont. - Beau Schmitz scored the only goal in the shootout and Tyler Seguin had a hat trick as the Plymouth Whalers rallied to beat the Sudbury Wolves 6-5 Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Schmitz also scored in regulation as the Whalers netted four consecutive goals to tie the score 5-5 and force extra time.

Down 5-1 in the second period, Seguin scored his second and third of the game before Schmitz pulled Plymouth to within one in the third. Myles McCauley completed the comeback at 13:49 to force OT.

Seguin leads the OHL in scoring with 17 points.

Scott Wedgewood made 38 saves for the Whalers (4-2-0-0).

Eddy Leitans-Rinke and Eric O'Dell each scored twice for Sudbury (3-2-0-1), while Peter Hermenegildo added a single.
