PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Tyler Seguin scored two goals and added two assists, leading the Plymouth Whalers to a 6-2 come-from-behind drubbing of the Belleville Bulls in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.
Seguin, Plymouth's first round pick in the 2008 OHL Draft, keyed a rally from a two-goal deficit in the first period with a late goal before adding another and two helpers as the Whalers exploded for five third period goals, including four in a 2:45 span. Plymouth (26-22-5-0) also got goals from Joe Gaynor, Matt Caria, AJ Jenks and Ryan Hayes, while captain Chris Terry chipped in with four assists.
Belleville (35-15-2-2) got first period goals from Brandon Mashinter and Shawn Lalonde, who set a Bulls team record for goals by a defenseman in a single season with his 18th.
The Bulls were 27-0 when leading after two periods heading into Saturday night's contest.
Whalers netminder Matt Hackett earned the win making 28 saves, while Belleville goaltenders Mike Murphy and Phillip Grubauer combined on 52 saves as Plymouth outshot the Bulls 58-30. Murphy was chased after Plymouth's final goal with 7:32 left in the game.
