Seguin has two points as the Plymouth Whalers down the Generals 4-2 @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Tyler Seguin had a goal and an assist to lead the Plymouth Whalers to a 4-2 win over the Oshawa Generals on Friday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Seguin put the Whalers ahead 2-1 late in the second period and also set up Tyler Brown for what proved to be the winner early in the third.

Joe Gaynor scored 18 seconds into the game for Plymouth (11-13-3-0), while Chris Terry added a goal.

John Tavares had a goal and an assist for the Generals (14-12-0-4) and now has 49 points (23 goals, 26 assists) this season, one back of OHL scoring leader Taylor Hall.

Michael Del Zotto scored the other Oshawa goal.

Matt Hackett made 28 saves for Plymouth. Oshawa goalie Neil Conway stopped 16 shots.
