WPG@DAL: Seguin, Schiefele meet again in warmups

Maybe Tyler Seguin didn't want to keep the Texas Rangers waiting?

The Dallas Stars forward has a long-standing pregame rivalry with Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele. The point of contention is over who gets to the ice last.
At first, they played a
couple of games of Rock-Paper-Scissors
, but after Scheifele proved too tough a matchup in that regard, Seguin resorted to a little trickery.
Earlier this season at Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Seguin got Scheifele good by walking off nonchalantly after warmups, only to return for a quick skate after Scheifele returned to the locker room thinking victory was his.
This time around, however, there were no tricks.
Seguin, clad in a special blue sweater for warmups as the team hosted Rougned Odor, Joey Gallo and Delino Deshields of the Texas Rangers, left the ice without incident on Saturday.
As part of the night, Deshields read the starting lines in the locker room and all three Rangers dropped a ceremonial puck before the game.

Leaving quietly was an odd choice for Seguin, but he did appear to pass a practice puck over to his counterpart and keep an eye on it before relinquishing and departing the ice first. So if Seguin perhaps challenged Scheifele to hit the empty net, as announcers speculated, he came up on the short end again.
Maybe Seguin should propose going back to Rock-Paper-Scissors?
