Segal makes 18 saves as Vancouver Giants blank Everett Silvertips 1-0 @NHLdotcom

LANGLEY, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants continue to have success at their defeating the Everett Silvertips 1-0 at the Langley Events Centre in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Mark Segal made 18 saves for his second shutout of the season.

James Henry provided all the offence for Vancouver (33-20-3). It was Henry's 18th of the year late in the game while on the power play.

Thomas Heemskerk stopped 39 shots for Everett (33-18-3).

The Giants ended the evening 1-for-3 with the man-advantage, while the Silvertips finished 0-for-4 on the power play.

Vancouver, after getting great pressure on their first power play, finally cracked Heemskerk with just over six minutes to go in the third period.

David Musil moved in from the point, threw the puck down low to Milan Kytnar, who found Henry streaking towards the net. Henry one-timed the pass for his marker.
