Eduard Sale split

No experience, no problem.

Seattle Kraken draft pick Eduard Sale had never thrown a baseball in his entire life until Sunday.

While you might think that would be a recipe for disaster, Sale put the rawhide chunk right down Broadway before the Seattle Mariners hosted the Houston Astros at T-Mobile Park.

Sale, a native of Czechia, was the first-round pick of the Kraken (20th overall) in the 2023 NHL Draft recently. In an interview before the game, he confessed he had never been to a baseball game, as the sport is not popular in his home country.

Then he admitted he had never even thrown a baseball in his life. But it turned out pretty well, despite his first attempt coming in a stadium that holds upwards of 47,000 fans.

If he comes out skating in the NHL for the first time the way he first threw a baseball, he will have a pretty legendary NHL career.
