Calgary center tweets farewell message for newest Rangers forward

Forward Josh Jooris agreed to terms on a contract with the New York Rangers on Friday, inspiring his workout partner and now former Calgary Flames teammate Sean Monahan to post a hilarious farewell message.

Jooris, spent the past two seasons with the Flames and made his NHL debut Oct. 17, 2014. He had 12 goals and 24 points in his rookie season, helping the Flames reach the Western Conference Second Round before losing to the Anaheim Ducks. He had four goals and nine assists in 59 games last season.

Jooris was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Flames and became an unrestricted free agent July 1. He has 16 goals and 37 points in 119 NHL games.
