WINDSOR, Ont. - Scott Timmins scored twice and added two assists as the Windsor Spitfires hammered the Owen Sound Attack 8-2 in Ontario Hockey League play Thursday.
Philipp Grubauer had to make just 16 saves to pick up the win for the Spitfires (41-7-5).
After a first period that saw the score deadlocked 2-2, Windsor scored six unanswered goals - two in the second period and four in the third.
Kenny Ryan chipped in with a goal and three assists for the Spitfires while Stephen Johnson and Justin Shugg both had a goal and an assist. Mark Cundari, Derek Lanoue and Harry Young also scored for Windsor.
Brendan Childerely and Bobby Mignardi scored for Owen Sound (23-24-6), while Jordan Binnington made 42 saves.
The Spitfires cashed in on three of five power-play chances while the Attack did not score on any of their six opportunities.
