Scott scores overtime winner to lead Thunderbirds to 4-3 win over Americans @NHLdotcom

SEATTLE - Greg Scott scored his second of the game 46 seconds into overtime to lift the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 4-3 win over the Tri-City Americans in Western Hockey League action Sunday.

Scott's winner was his 29th goal of the season.

Tri-City (44-13-2-2) lost its second in a row. Seattle (32-20-5-2) moved into fifth place in the Western Conference standings with the win.

Both teams scored a power play goal in the first period. Scott scored at 17:27 and Colton Yellow Horn scored his league-leading 45th with 15 seconds left in the period.

Seattle regained the lead when David Richard scored his 17th of the season at 4:06 before Mason Wilgosh drew Tri-City level.

The Americans took the lead when Shaun Vey was credited with a goal that went off the skate of a Seattle defenceman at 15:58 of the second. Lindsay Nielson tied it for Seattle at 15:36 of the third period.

Jacob DeSerres made 19 saves for Seattle. Chet Pickard stopped 29 shots for Tri-City.
