BRANDON, Man. - Scott Glennie scored two third-period goals to lead the Brandon Wheat Kings to a 5-3 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders in the Western Hockey League on Saturday.
Glennie notched the game-winner 4:29 into the third period, then scored on a penalty shot later in the frame as the Wheat Kings (44-18-14), moving to within one point of the Saskatoon Blades for first place in the East Division.
Jay Fehr, Matt Calvert and Brayden Schenn rounded out the scoring for Brandon.
Justin Maylan replied with two goals for the Raiders (30-30-5), while Brandon Herrod also scored.
Brandon netminder Jacob De Serres made 30 saves, while Garrett Zemlak stopped 28 shots for Prince Albert.
