Schumacher and Cousins two points each as Greyhounds edge Spirit 5-4 @NHLdotcom

SAULT STE MARIE, Ont. - Michael Schumacher and Nick Cousins had a goal and an assist each as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds defeated the visiting Saginaw Spirit 5-4 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Carson Dubchak, Brett Findlay and David Elsner also scored for the Greyhounds (19-20-4), who snapped a five-game losing streak.

Brandon Saad lead the Spirit (17-21-3) offensively with two goals, Vincent Trocheck had a goal and an assist and Eric Locke added a single goal.

Jack Cambell made 38 saves for the win while Jake Paterson turned aside 20 shots in defeat.

The power play was never a factor as Sault Ste. Marie went 0 for 3 and Saginaw 0 for 2.
