Schoenmakers scores two goals as Mississauaga beat Barrie 4-3

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Mississauga St. Michael's Majors forward Derek Schoenmakers scored two goals, including one in overtime, to lead his team to a 4-3 victory over the Barrie Colts in Friday night's Ontario Hockey League action.

Majors (11-5-3) forward Riley Brace had a goal and an assist while David Corrente scored Mississauga's other goal. Jordan Mayer and Stuart Percy each contributed with a pair of assists for the Majors.

For Barrie (8-7-3), Mark Scheifele led the way with two goals and OHL leading scorer Tanner Pearson registered a goal and an assist.

J.P. Anderson stopped 30 of 33 shots for Mississauga while Mathias Niederberger made 23 saves in defeat.

The Majors scored once on two power-play chances while the Colts went 0-for-2.
