Schneider, Puempel with three-point outings as Senators down Marlies @NHLdotcom

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Cole Schneider had two goals and an assist as the Binghamton Senators downed the visiting Toronto Marlies 5-1 on Saturday in American Hockey League play.

Matt Puempel scored once and set up two more for the Senators (3-2-0) while David Dziurzynski and Eric O'Dell added the others.

Josh Leivo supplied the offence for the Marlies (4-2-0).

Chris Driedger made 26 saves for Ottawa's AHL affiliate while Garret Sparks stopped 31-of-36 shots for the Maple Leafs' farm team.

Both clubs went 0 for 3 on the power play.
