Schmitz has four-point night to get Whalers past Niagara IceDogs, 6-3 @NHL

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Beau Schmitz had a goal and three assists to help the Plymouth Whalers defeat the Niagara IceDogs 6-3 on Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Andy Bathgate added two goals for Plymouth, while Alex Aleardi, with two assists, Mitchell Heard and Jamie Devane each scored for the Whalers (4-4-1).

Matt Mahalak made 38 saves for the win in goal.

For Niagara (3-5-1), Andrew Agozzino, Freddie Hamilton and Mitchell Theoret scored while Mark Visentin and Jaroslav Pavelka combined for 29 saves.
