BRANDON, Man. - Brayden Schenn scored two goals and assisted on four others as the Brandon Wheat Kings blasted the Moose Jaw Warriors 8-2 in the Western Hockey League on Wednesday night.
Matt Calvert added two goals and three assists, while Aaron Lewadniuk also scored twice for Brandon. Colby Robak and Scott Glennie also scored for the Wheat Kings, who lead the East Division at 48-18-4. Glennie had three assists for a four-point night, while Robak had two assists to go along with his goal.
Clinton Atkinson replied with his first of the season for the Warriors, who fell to 33-27-10.
Brandon netminder Jacob DeSerres made 21 saves, while Brandon Glover stopped 44 shots for Moose Jaw.
The official attendance of 6,022 was the largest ever for a Wheat Kings game at Westman Place.
