Schenn scores twice, leads Wheat Kings to 5-3 win over Rebels @NHLdotcom

BRANDON, Man. - Brayden Schenn scored two goals and set up another as the Brandon Wheat Kings defeated the Red Deer Rebels 5-3 in the Western Hockey League on Wednesday night.

Schenn scored his second goal of the game into the empty net to lock up the Wheat Kings' sixth straight victory.

Shayne Wiebe, Jay Fehr and Matt Calvert also scored for the Wheat Kings, who improved to 36-16-3.

John Persson, Willie Coetzee and Turner Elson replied for the Rebels, who had a five-game winning streak snapped and fell to 29-20-4.

Brandon netminder Jacob De Serres made 27 saves, while Kraymer Barnstable stopped 34 shots for Red Deer.
