Scheifele scores four points to lift the Colts over the Spitfires 6-1 @NHLdotcom

BARRIE, Ont. - Mark Scheifele had a goal and three assists in his home debut as the Barrie Colts blasted the Windsor Spitfires 5-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday.

Colin Behenna scored a pair of goals for Barrie (7-6-1), while Steven Beyers and Tanner Pearson added singles.

Kerby Rychel had the lone goal for Windsor (8-7-2).

Barrie went 4-for-13 with the man advantage, while Windsor finished the night 0-for-4.

The Colts Mathias Niederberger made 23 stops in the victory.

John Cullen began the night for Windsor but was pulled after giving up three goals on four shots. Jack Campbell came on in relief and turned aside 22 shots.

Since being returned from the NHL?s Winnipeg Jets at the beginning of the week, Scheifele has picked up eight points in three games.

Pearson had three points on the evening which moved the forward into a tie with Sarnia?s Nail Yakupov for first in the league with 33.
