Sauer's third-period goal leads Tigers to 2-1 win over Rebels

RED DEER, Alta. - Jerrid Sauer's fourth goal of the season was the winner as the Medicine Hat Tigers edged the Red Deer Rebels 2-1 in a Western Hockey League game Wednesday.

Sauer's third-period marker snapped a 1-1 tie. Sean Ringrose scored 97 seconds into the game for Medicine Hat (5-2-1-0), while Brandon Sutter replied for Red Deer (3-5-0-0) in the second period.

Tigers netminder Tomas Vosvrda stopped 27 shots, including 13 in the second period. Morgan Clark made 24 saves for the Rebels.
