Saskatoon Blades wins fifth straight with 7-3 victory over Regina Pats @NHLdotcom

REGINA - Matej Stransky scored two goals in the third period and the Saskatoon Blades won their fifth straight with 7-3 victory over the Regina Pats in the WHL Sunday night.

Saskatoon (27-17-1) also had a goal and two assists from Jesse Paradis, a goal and assist from Brent Benson, and one goal each from Nick Zajac, Michael Burns and Lukas Sutter.

Regina (25-17-4) had one goal apiece from Colton Jobke, Lyndon Martell, Lane Scheidl and Martin Marincin.

After the Blades hustled out to a 4-0 first period lead the Pats battled back to send it to the third a 5-3 game.

But Saskatoon kept pouring it on in the final frame, adding two goals while the Pats managed just one.

The Pats went one for seven with the one-man advantage.

Making 34 stops for the win was Alex Moodie (7-2-0-0). Taking the loss and making 25 saves for Regina was Matt Hewitt (23-13-2-1).
