Saskatoon Blades run win streak to five with 4-0 win over Oil Kings

EDMONTON - Steven Stanford made 14 saves as the Saskatoon Blades extended their winning streak to five games with a 4-0 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings in Western Hockey League play Sunday afternoon.

Walker Wintoneak and Derek Hulak had a goal and assist each while Stefan Elliott and Burke Gallimore also scored for Saskatoon (7-2-0-2).

Torrie Jung stopped 29 shots for Edmonton (6-5-0-2).

Hulak opened the scoring when his pass caromed off Edmonton defender Tyler Hlookoff and past Jung.

Edmonton fell behind by a pair when Elliott scored on a delayed penalty call, sending a wrist shot past Jung's glove through traffic at 10:38 of the second period.

Gallimore extended it to 3-0 at 12:06, converting a beautiful backhand pass from Charles Inglis as he was being knocked to the ice.

Wintoneak iced it at 9:35 of the third, on a tap-in on a cross-ice pass from Hulak.
